SUMMARY

A set of scales for £150, can they live up to that price.

Pros

  • Very accurate
  • Cardio scales
  • very good quality

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Very slippery on certain surfaces

Scales that have Bluetooth and WiFi now i have seen everything.

The withings smart cardio body are way more than just a set of scales, they can tell you the amount of body fat, muscle water %, bone mass and heart rate. They can give you a cardiovascular checkup and give you an indication of your health on the inside.

Recommended Retail Price is £149.99 which in my opinion is insane for a set of scales.

The scales are very easy to set up and can be connected via Bluetooth or the option I chose which was WiFi.

They work very well in regards to monitoring weight, pulse rate, body ratio, percentage water and a few other bits. All the results are also uploaded and viewable in the app a couple of minutes after the readings have been taken.

Battery life is amazing with up to 12 months after a full charge thanks to its built in battery but as most people would rarely use them this i think is almost irrevelant.

Now to the cons.

The price £150 or almost for ultimately a set of scales and heart rate monitor, they work very well and are well made but I just found they did the same job as other items you can buy for cheaper.

A word of warning do not use these on hard floors as they are plastic bottomed and are very slippery.

The connector is usb B (one way round and quite flimsy) and for the price I would have expected USB C as default as everything else has gone across.

So overall a good set of body cardio scales but I can’t recommend them as they are just so expensive. You can buy a good smart watch these days which can do almost exactly the same.
